Zoo Heist: The Zine is a limited edition 10 glossy-page zine with a Zoo Heist short story written by author Bryan Burke and accompanying collage art by Samuel Steezmore, photographed by Andrew Doench. The story of the odd five animal-headed capers serves as a prelude to Zoo Heist: The Album, and is a showcase of the Fort Ancient Records collection of imaginative original art in its various forms.

All profits go toward supporting wildlife conservationists through the Wildlife Conservation Network, who help protect endangered species everyday.

Zoo Heist is the third major album from the entire cast of the Cincinnati beat collective, Fort Ancient Records. It was produced not only by the five member producers, but also many hip hop friends and community members who helped inspire the album to move in great and unexpected directions. The freeing of the zoo represents a mass creative expression of individuals that cannot be contained to one sound or style. Music is a wild thing; it must roam freely.
